Default JR PC Data Transfer

I just got the JR PC Data Transfer cd, usb, and cable. I put the disk in and opened the file. It asked me to click on the setup exe. and run. The setup link dose not work. Any suggestions or can somebody e-mail me the file? Thanks

No error Keith it just will not open the setup exe file. I do not get an error or even an hourglass when I Double click it.

OK, you could try a couple of things. First, got to my computer, right click on the cd drive and see if there is a menu option called "autoplay". If there is click on it.

You could also right click on the setup.exe program and select open or run.

You might also see if there is a program called "installer".

When I put my disk in the CD drive it automatically loads up the menu, so mine is behaving differently than yours. Maybe someone else has had the problem and will respond if they found a fix.

You have to turn off (uncheck) User Account Control in Vista.

Windows Vista setup:

1. Go to "Start"

2. Select "Control Panel"

3. Select "User Account" (Classic View)

4. Turn User Account Control On or Off and uncheck the User Account Control box

5. Reboot your PC (this should happend automatically)

Done

I got mine working. I clicked on the setup icon at 10:30 pm and when I got up at 5am it still was not working but I turned my 1 yr old loose on the comp. (I was cooking breakfast) and it was running when I finished cooking. Go figure it took my 1 yr old to get it working for me. We normally only let her chat and check e-mail!!!!
