I just received one from Digitech, and they are beautifully made, fantastic equipment, a bit smaller and lighter than I expected too.

Nice. I will look for your post George. I was thinking about putting one in my new Global Jet Club F-16. Did you find it user friendly for the most part?

Thanks

Spence

Spence, I did find it user-friendly, but did mention some areas I'd like to see changed. Here is the original post if you didn't find it.

Hi there,
I have two of the first generations and every time I turn on my airplanes and the radio, they go through the whole cicle and some times damage the doors also the airplanes collapse to the ground. How can I correct this problem?

Also I am not happy with the instruction that they send you.

Thank you in advance,[sm=drowning.gif]

Nick.

It was my understanding that Todd's valve was a little more refined and had a couple more features. Is this not the case?

Todd's does not do that when you turn it on. I have not used the early vrsion, so I do not know anythng about it. The new one works as I detailed in the original post.

Spaceman,

Swap the IN and OUT air tubings going to all cylinders, and reverse the channel on your TX.
Electronic valves have a "start" position ("open" or "close" ) , and if you have double-reversed the system by accident during installation, the valves will boot up in the "wrong" direction and then move to the requested signal coming from the RX.
In most cases, this solves such problems.

Success !

Nicolas.

Nicolas is correct.

The EV5U and EV5U-Pro have a power-on failsafe, this is designed to eliminate the possibility of the gear retracting upon power-up if the switch happens to be in the wrong position.
If you have initially configured your sequencing in what the valve considers to be gear up setting, the valve will do as you described. Reverse the gear channel, swap your lines on both doors and gear and the problem should be eliminated.

Todd, when do we get the valve?
My shipment has just left the factory, slightly behind schedule due to some customization for Dreamworks. I should begin shipping pre-orders early next week. Thanks for the patience, this item will be well worth the wait!

I'm getting ready to start my F-16 after Xmas.......might be just the time to stop into the Dreamworks site to order up some goodies that I have left for the plane.
