Default over looking little things.

for years I have been flying my Facet 2300 and have enjoyed almost every flight. a few months ago, I was flying on a grass field, Jet rotated to soon after hitting a bump, right wing stalled then the jet took a hard bank turn to the right and went through the trees. after repairs were made to the Facet 2300 I decided to move up to 2.4...

in doing so, I got a chance to rip everything apart. items I thought were good, were not. fuel lines were hard, so I replaced them, found a few extentions that needed replacing and 2 servos were acting up....

but in the end I think the Facet 2300 is almost ready to take to the sky again....
pics are of what it use to look like, then the day after the accident, and then the new look

Mark,

The thread title scared me...........I thought you overlooked something and had another mishap. Good to see you got the Facet repaired and ready to fly again. I robbed the turbine out of mine for another project (JMP T-33) and sure do miss flyin' the Facet.

Good luck with the maide....... well.... I guess you can't call it a maiden on an airframe that has as many flights as that one does. So just have fun with it.

well, i am guessing many of us do miss the little things in our jets. If it was not for the mishap I had on take off, I would not have had the chance to dig through the aircraft and find the little things that could have caused problems in the near future.

Gary, if you think the Facet 2300 few great.... You should see how the NEW Facet 1700 RG flew. I test flew that a few months ago, and when I retracted the gear, very smooth and fast...

here's a few pics of the Facet 1700 RG.....

Kerry, cutter is not working YET..... I have a guy in our club who is a computer geek, says when he gets a chance he will set up my pc....
