Default How do you balance a ductef fan?

Hello,
I have the Hot Bodies A-7 and want to balance the fan.The main problem is it's a 5 bladed fan and I don't know how to balance 5 bladed fans,my second problem is it's so light it doesn't move from any position on my prop balancer (Great Planes).I would greatly appreciate any help or source of information you could give me.
Thanks,
Kevin

I balanced mine on an old High Point balancer which is now made by Dubro. My rotor was very close to being balanced and only required a couple of swipes with a sanding bar on the end of one blade.

I have been led to believe that you should only remove material from the hub to balance a fan. There is certainly a lot of material in the Toki hub.

My Dubro high point easily shows imbalance. You do have to give it a couple of spins and see if it stops consistently at one place each time. Number the blades with a felt-tip marker makes this easy.

My rotor was so close to being balanced that taking material from the end of the blade did not really shorten it. I removed, at most, about .001" of an inch. If your rotor is way out of balance, I would take material from the hub. In my case, it was very insignificant.

Same procedure. Remove material from the heavy area.
