Hello Jet guys
I'm just starting my research on turbines, and since no one in my club has any interest, i am trying to locate the closest club to downtown chicago that has lots of jet guys.
my buddy brian told me that Winamac in IN has lots of jet folks.
does anyone here have contact info and directions? im usually off during the weekdays, and would really like to visit and learn more about turbines.
im currently flying 1/4 scale gas and just finishing a 1/3 scale aerobatic planes, and in the process of finishing a 1/5 scale warbird (with a cool reduction drive).
any jet help would be greatly appreciated!!!
cheers

Come to Winamac at the end of the month and get a crash course(no pun intended this time) on turbine powered aircraft from the best the sport has to offer. Lots of manufacturers and modelers from all over the world. I can help you if you have any questions during the meet. I may have a slightly biased opinion but don't let that stop you. If you need a map or hotel info check the BVM website for details. Or the above mentioned site. Thanks and hope to meet you soon. We fly jets all the time here and are always looking for new faces.

After reading the "Other Thread" on Waivers....
Is there going to be an Interim Waiver opportunity at this event for those whom would like to come and take advantage of the location?

Thanks to all for lots of responses both here and off line to my question about Winamac.
I am just really really starting to think about jets (my buddies roo is inspiring me) and after i went to Superman last year, it really got me excited about doing it for '04.
i was totally impressed by how open and friendly the guys were at superman, and if that was any indication on how accessable folks are in this end of the hobby, im encouraged.
i'll be at the meets this year (or flying fields) and i'll be the polite guy asking way too many semi informed questions!
cheers

Hi Joe,
Ghostrider and I are going to Winamac this Saturday to do some testing and tuning on our planes: Euro Sport, Rookie and F-16. Come on down if you are interested. I believe Tim Redelman will be there also. He is a plethora of information.........
Best regards,
