Default Spectrum AR12000

Dont know if this has been mentioned here already, but this looks good for our needs. [link]http://www.spektrum-rc.de/[/link] Go down to the middle of the page and you will see the new 12 channel receiver.

Thanks for bringing this up, Paul. Not just 12 channel receivers BUT Spektrum and Powerbox Royal getting together to release an integrated unit is also great news. The PB Royal is a first class device as are the Spektrum units (still not a single frame loss in 18 month of use in my several Spektrum 10X and JR 12x radios). What choice we have !

Weatronics 2.4 should also be available about now.

Regards, David Gladwin.

Now, i wonder if this is going to become available thru JR/ horizon here in the states? I would be amazed if it doesn't.

They seem to be almost the same with the one having an internal receiver and the other one four satellites.

Hopefully the AR1200 will come in at as sensible price, instead of the ridiculous £300 of the 1221 from JR here in the UK ( Thats $412.00 ) Which smarts a bit when having to put two of them into each of the larger models [:@]

Just got off the phone with horizon and here is the low down
First up is the AR 12000. A 12 ch rx that will take dual battery set up through two servo type sockets . Much like the Jr 1221. Difference is its about half the price. Full retail is set at £179.99
Next up is the 12001 which is a 12ch version of the AR 9100. It has the dual battery inputs through heavy duty leads and connectors. Soft switch and high amp rated structure.
This one is set to retail at £199.99
I placed my orders there and then and was told delivery will be April some time.
Hope this helps. ( it certainly does for me )
Regards Al

Hi Carlos
Sorry no 10ch Rx's planned. But the AR12000 should work fine with your 10X Set up. Yes I know its 2 un used channels but the price looks good enough not to worry so much!

You can not have 10 Spektrum channels on the 10X as it only outputs 9 PPM channels. You have to run PPM modulation to run the Spektrum module.

Ali,
did you bring up the power box royal w/ the built in spektrum 2.4 receiver? I'm interested to see what the price would be compared to say a regular PB royal and a 1221 rx

What is going on at JR UK, (Macgregor) £300 pounds for a 1221 receiver, but US price $229 about £150 or half of Macg's price. Even allowing for different taxes that smells of gross overpricing.

The 1221 in Australia is under 200 pounds

Similarly the price of the 12x is exhorbitant in the UK, In the US its about £1100 broadly similar in Australia allowing for GST but in the UK, £1700, wow !

MacGs trying to price themselves out of business?

Regards,

David Gladwin.

Thomas
Just following up on your request. Emmerich of Powerbox was at a big event in Germany last week thus was slower than normal to respond.
The new Royal with in built RX's is due to be released at the end of April. Costing of the unit works out to be a little cheaper than buying the units separately. Feel free to email me directly for more information [email protected]. Under advice from Emmerich and due to the flood of advanced orders for this unit I have put mine in early. I have just used my first Royal unit in my Mibo A10 and and amazed at how versatile a product it is. The new unit with the in built RX's fits my needs perfectly..

Ali,
great to hear! Hopefully it will come state-side here soon.. if not, i'll just pick one up from you when the time comes. I dont have any experience w/ the PB's but the next project i'm preparing for now, will make use of the PB Royal Perfectly, and the fact the cost is a bit cheaper than a 12 channel rx and a PB royal separately makes it even better.

The integrated unit sounds very interesting. I look forward to some reviews of it once you early adopters try them out.

Hi Thomas
I am sure you will be able to get them your side soon. If not and I can be of any help just let me know.
Trust me, if you have a complex model to set up with lots of servos then the royal is a blessing!

Well, i'm planning on a YA F-18 twin w/ a oly w/ leading edge slats/flaps, scale surface hinging, arresting hook, full lighting, et etc etc.. so their will definately be a need for a nice power distribution system.

Yep that will be perfect. Not just for the power distribution, but also the setting up of ll those servos and of course the peace of mind of dual Rx's. Then of course the ability to read all the info from the lcd screen. Although I have to say it did scare me at times to see real life info on the amps pulled by some of the control surfaces!!!!

Looking forward to trying a 12 channel Spektrum Tx module and AR1200 Rx with my MX22 as it does output 12 channels in PPM mode. Spektrum.de mentions the 12 channel Tx for MC24, it will be interesting if I can get it to work in the MX22!

Hi, fireblade5437!

I have also MX-22 with 9-ch Spektrum module. My friend received e-mail from spektrum-rc.de where was mentioned that it's possible to update old module for 12ch. Costs 50 eur...

MC-24 module antenna outlet is in different place than MX-22
