I see you're in SoCal. I'll be at LA Jets tomorrow. If you can come out there perhaps I can give you a hand. If not, email me at [email protected] and I can help you.

Once the parameters are set in the ecu. You should not have as many problems.
Make sure you are pointed into the wind. If there is alot of wind you need to block the intake by kneeling infront of it.
make sure you prime the fuel pump so that kerosene is watched going to the engine. once it reaches the engine stop.( if the engine gets too much fuel pumped in. there will be a hot start. hot starts are no big deal if on a test stand but in an airframe. it's possible to damage something.) if every thing is put in correctly there still shouldn't be a problem. But it isn't recomeded for the weak at heart.
I have one of the first ones. They had the most problems. But once everything is set correctly. I haven't had too much trouble.
Your welcome to give me a call and I'll help you get it started.
Have the ECU battery charged and the engine ready to go when you call. I sure we can get it going.

My RAM was similarly difficult, not any more. Charge the battery before EVERY start, use Colemans powermax fuel and ensure the plug coils are pulled well out. The engine then becomes an absolute delight to operate and sounds wonderful spooling up/down in flight.

The RAM 500 is an excellent engine and it is very reliable. The only thing I had to do was change a propane parameter from the factory setting. Your climate is a factor regarding this setting. Once you get it set up, you will love it.

Thank you so much for all of your assistance! I now have a wealth of info that I can implement at the field tomorrow.... You all are so nice to deal with!! By the way, I do live in Socal and the weather is obviously a factor starting up the turbine. What propane settings on my GSU do I need to have it set at. I beleive its at 60? Does anyone know the factory settings for the engine? Thanks!!!

Anthony,
I have my GAS ADJ at 010 and have reliable starts here in South Florida. Though it may be a little much, it works. Don't forget, the higher the number, the less gas.
