Hello everybody
I have a Byron F-18 for sale on ebay, and I keep getting inquiries as to the age of the plane. When did Byron Originals stop production? Was the F-18 still in production at that time? Does anybody have information as to how many planes they produced- not just the F-18, but overall production figures. As far as my F-18 goes, would it be safe to say that it is 25 years or more of age? Thanks - Frank

Believe it or not, my original intention was to stuff two VioJett fans into this F-18. And I probably could have, but there was not enough room in the fuselage for landing gear AND two fans, and my Bungee expenses would have been outrageous. Add to that the terrible flight characteristics of an overloaded airframe, and it became another discarded dream. I would like to keep the plane, but two months of not working means that I need some BYRO-CASH. This is my favorite photo of the plane - Blow it out your @@@!

So, how did it fly as a turbine model? What kind of modifications were made for the turbine conversion?- this is another question that possible bidders are asking, and I have no experience in this area. I would think that a bifurcated exhaust duct as well as a stainless thrust tube with some kind of thermal blanket is necessary. But are the original plug-in spars sturdy enough?
