Hello guys,
My new Jetlegend T-45's right wing arrived damaged in its top part.
it appears something was pressing against its top part, creating a dent and a wobble in the top skin. it does seem to be only wing skin damage but i can not tell for sure of course.
Whats a good way to fix this ?
Attached are pics of the damage, i hope they are clear enough.
As far as i know i believe the wing skin in balsa and then glassed on the outside.
thanks.

Hmm, if its truly a composite wing, then there is no balsa top sheeting. Those wings are laid up in a mold and then built around the internals of the wing (spars, landing gear mounts etc etc ). To me your pictures looks like it has "delaminated" and has caused a bubble/wringle effect.
To repair I would think is has to be sanded down. From the look of the pictures, it doesnt look to deep but it is going through your panel lines as well. Is it repairable sure, but why?? You just bought that kit, Call the MFG and get them to send you a new one. Its gonna take you a lil while to build it, no sense it spending the time on repairing something that is new.
If you are hellbent on repairing it, sand all the spots down, make sure you get rid of all the delamination, and you could use epoxy as the filler, hysol, or even light weight scatch and dent filler ( as long as the space is not to big). Then recreate the panel lines. I think it will be hard to match the mfg panel lines but you can get it pretty close using small files or a thin piece of plastic with sandpaper wrapped around it and a straight edge. Curves will be hard to do and make it look "clean"
