JETS OVER WHIDBEY (JOW)
Hi guys - I realize this post might be a bit early, but many of you like to plan your schedule some time in advance. JOW is the last weekend in August on beautiful Whidbey Island, not far from Seattle. This is a gorgeous time of the year as it is our dry season and temps are usually in the 70's and 80's. We fly at a Navy facility that has a 5000 by 200 foot runway with unlimited air space. One of the best places to fly jets in the country.
I have the flyer shown below; sorry for the somewhat poor copy. The landing fee is $30 and lunch is included on both Fri and Sat. for the pilots AND their crew. In addition, each pilot will receive a nice commemorative tee shirt. There will be an awards banquet on Sat. night at the Navy base for all who wish to attend at a cost of $21 per person.
Please pass this info on to all of your jet flying friends. For more information you can contact either Al Watson or myself, our phone numbers and E-Mails are on the flyer.
Hope to see many of you there.
Bob Brusa

Here are a couple of recommendations for places to stay in Coupeville:
Tyee Motel
360-678-6616
Just an average motel, not too big, maybe 10 or 11 rooms. Has an excellent resturant. About 5 miles from field.
Countryside Inn
360-678-5610
Very nice, but no resturant services. Most of us stayed here last year and plan to go back. It's very close to the field - mile or so.

Hi Paul - Al and I, along with a few other jet jocks from the Whidbey club will be there in May. Princeton is one of our most favorite places to fly. I'll bring some extra copies of the flyer along to pass out to everybody.
