Default A-10 Knowledge

Does anyone know if the canopy that was made for the Fairchild YA-10B 2-seater was borrowed from another aircraft and modified or was it a new design?

Looks a lot like an F-4 configuration. The rear looks a little different though. Do you have a bigger picture?

Can't fully remember but I believe it was a new design as there were full intentions to produce the 2 seater. Someone from Hog land out there has to know.

Here is another view. It sure would be nice to be able to use a canopy from another plane then try to create my own. Thanks for your help!

It was a one off for the A-10B, you can't barrow a canopy from one aircraft and make it fit to another. The designs are completely different.

That canopy was made for the 2-seater, only 2 made, neither one flying now.
