Default Fly eagle BAE Hawk

Hello,

Has anyone bought this airplane from Fly Eagle? The price is awesome, for $1,780 you get the airframe as an ARF, complete retract set, preinstalled retracts and gear doors and tail pipe, its a real bargain comparing with the prices from other vendors.

http://www.flyeaglejet.com/BAe%20Hawk.html

I was looking this kit from Fei Bao and Skymaster and both are a lot more expensive with all these options included. I would like to know if someone else has flown it.

Would this be a you pay what you get type of airplane, or is it a good quality and good price choice?

Thanks.

Alfredo.

I don't think this model is out of the factory yet. Maybe in 2-3 months time? But I think you will get good quality all over and excellent paint job. Maybe a bit on the heavy side what weight concerns. Not the most scale looking either. No one knows how it flies but so far their other models have flown well. And they make robust retracts. And propably without a manual but who needs it when there is almost nothing to do?

Alfredo, ela is right. This plane is not out for production yet. It will be in a couple of months. I saw one of their F-16 and was not too exited with their low Quality LG. Airframe do looks better. Honestly, I recomend you to go with a proven airframe even is the price is a bit higher. I had owned a first gen SM Hawk that I sold to a guy in the Neatherlands, and just finished a FB one for my friend last week which will be ready for maiden soon. Both SM and FB are well proven ones that you can't go wrong with any you choose. Out of the 3 the SM one is the most superior in quality for $$$.

speaking from first hand experience, by the time you get a Fly Eagle Jet in the air with no air leaks and a properly functioning retract/door system you'll have more money invested in it then if you bought the Skymaster ARF+

Well, my first hand experience is I changed six O-rings, cost me 2$. That's it. So far I have 30 landings and no leak. Can't complain. I know Skymaster still after 15? years in business are pushing out cylinders with an air leakage. And other defects.
Nothing that comes from China so far is perfect. You can be lucky or not so lucky. It seems that many FEJ customers have little experience in sorting out problems that my show up. Then it is good to know that their customer service is very good.

Then count yourself lucky. I have 20+ flights on my F-15 and in spite of many changes, still do not have the gears completely sorted. I have been doing this jet flying for quite awhile, and my de-bugging skills are good...

Do you guys have pictures from the SM Hwak and FeiBao that could share in this thread??

I spoke with Fly Eagle and he told me that i could place an order so he can start to build it and it costs $1780usd, there are no pictures to see or test flight video....

I like Skymaster kits but i dont see where to buy the Hawk in the US, most of them only sells the t-45 version; i only see in RC-jets the FB Hawk at good price, but between both i prefer Skymaster....

I have also a Fly Egale F-16 1/8 and i am finishing building it, the planes looks very good i am adding weathering to it so it looks more scale; it should fly very good; i liked that most of the work was already done, i really liked it, now i havve to test if there is any air leaks.... This is what i like from Fly eagle, that most of the work is done for you....
