Ron.

Have fun with that bird. She looks great and im sure you will enjoy it. I kinda miss it until I fly my new P-200 powered Skymaster Viper with smoker system .

I have to say anyone thinking of buying a Skymaster Viper, Think no further. This is one of the best flying jets on the market and dose everything effortlessly.
Even i can land this one

Nice shots as usual from Uncle Joe!
Vince, whats the deal on your MiG MLG wheels? They look small. Is that from heavy braking, or are they off the rim? [sm=71_71.gif]

I need some info on how the Viper handles "fully loaded". I'm getting ready to maiden mine and would like to know if there were any apparent trim changes (vs unloaded Viper), and any noticeable increase in rollout/landing performance.

That F-16 looks very realistic. Now please go and paint those gear doors and landing gear white!!!

Appreciate your input,

David

Dave,

There is so much wing area nothing matters with this jet. You will notice no change full of fuel or not. Lands slow as a snail and Stable! Good luck with your new jet.

Nick,

I was going to get the XSi, Ritz had it for 599 with the 18-55 lens at a store that was closing. I was an hour to late on Saturday. From everything that I read online it is an awesome camera. Costco is 929 with the 18-55 and 55-250 lens..

I ended up buying the Nikon D90. $737 for body only. I now have to figure out which telephoto lens to get. I got the 18-105 for normal shooting.

Hi Nick
I don't know much about Canon, Its a Benz vs BMW thing. Both Nikon & Canon make great cameras, IMO the LENS speed is the THING (an 2.8 F stop or less 1.4) for most of the air shots I use a 300mm F 2.8 .IMO any thing greater (400mm or above) its a problem hand holding(weight) and I've never had luck using a tripod on unipod as the a/c never fly a straight line . Joe McBride is a Canon user ,maybe he can give you a heads up on the Canon system.

heed Joe, get a decent body but if you are having to budget, spend your money on the glass.

Joe, do you use a fixed 300 to get that aperture? i have the 80-400vr but am thinking the fixed would have been a better way to go..

Ron S,
After 77flights the the tires are "well" worn down. I will be replaceing them soon. They were only 3.25" in dia when new which is somewhat out of scale with the full size Mig but necessary to get them in the wells completely.

Ron,
I believe Dave is talking about your fully loaded with ordinance F-16 "Viper" and not the Viperjet you are describing??

Hi Pat
I use a 300 mm 2.8 fixed,is a few bucks (2 turbines worth) but IMO well worth it . I had a 80 to 400mm VR ,the high variable aperture just did not do the job.Still shots were Ok ( Zoom is great) but a hassel for airborne

FalconWings

The F-16 Fly's a little different with the ordinance on it.
You will only see a little elevator trim needed and you will find that your throttle stick will be up a little higher.

when landing you will need to carry a little more power to keep the nose up.

Other than that the performance is great with the ordinance on.

I don`t think so, that description would not be a fully loaded F-16...ha Don`t be afraid it flew awesome fully loaded and looked the part.

Plenty of reading on these two sites about the cameras and the features. Great info for making your choice.
