Like I stated earlier V.. Mig 21 was todays BUG,(Not a F/A 18 either) And our Safety fence works as intended . I did not get the shot entering the fence as my FEET were moving my butt out of the line of flight . V.. will most likely chime in as to what happened .
The windsock was an indication of how the winds were today

Wow those are some nice clear shots Joe. Vin and I did get pretty close ( a little closer, we would not have had to worrie about any landings)
nice photography!
Thanks for the great shots. Vin will have that Mig patched up in no time I have seen much worse. That jet will see another day.

Sorry to hear the Mig got some damage. How bad was it?
What really makes that bird cool is not everyone and their brother has one. Did it just get a little slow on approach?

Nice shots as usual Uncljoe, Thanks.
Funny you mentioned the lizards as I was trying to leave San Juan yesterday, we had to wait in position while they got a truck out to chase an iguana off the runway. I guess the little guys you had there were probably close to scale with the airplanes as this iguana to an Airbus LOL....now thats keeping it realistic scale
I wish I could have gotten a photo.
Cheers,
Mark

Chad,
I was actually coming in a little too high and fast. I thought about going around but decided to reduce the power quickly and just settle her right in. After 89 flights i did not expect any problems but there was. The wind was blowing cross, the jet got real slow in a hurry and the aoa got to hard for me to handle with low throttle setting so i was basically now behind the jet watching it go where it wanted to which was into the safety fence...[:@] I need a RH wing and the fuse repairs, the jet will fly again.

Damn, sorry to hear that Vince. Like I said, I love how unique it is. I don't know that I would be brave enough to fly it, but I love the pictures. Looking forward to seeing her back up there.
