Default BYRON F-16 D/F kit value

Hi All

Just wondering what a new, original, unbuilt, Byron F-16 kit is worth.

Thanks

If it is a late model one with aluminum sparsand intended for retracts, right at $500.00 is a fair selling price for both parties.

Hi guys

Thanks for the info Josh.
It's been awhile since I've looked at it, but I believe it has all the options including retracts, removable wings, and drop tanks.
A10FLYR- Maybe. I'm trying to decide if I want to build it or sell it.

digging around a few months back i found the receipt where i bought my last one, it was mid 90s and the cost for the kit and the retracts was 744 bucks, i agree with Josh, 500 sounds fair to both parties.

Thanks KC

Thats about how long I've had this one. My memory is fuzzy, But I was thinking it was $700-$800 new.
I didn't know if there was still any interest in these babies. If you were going to build it, how would you go? #10 turbine, EDF, or what?

I'm thinking of going EDF with the one I have.

they aren't speedy but they fly great and a 10lb EDF would IMO out fly the designed OS91 setup. a TamJet 100 would be more high performance in the old Byron.

There are many Byron edf conversions using the Byron fan. Any other fan is a waste of money as there is no real preformance gain due to the fact it has no ducting.

The Byron EDF is cheap, simple and has plenty of power.

I have the inlet that works for a Dynamax in the Byron F-16 so I can go either 6" or 5" fan. I have not decided which way I will go. I have converted several Byron powered kits to Dynamax/OS.91 and there is a performance increase especially in the top end speed.

Yea - but it's a whole different ballgame when you put an EDF in it.

Go Electric, Dynamax Fan. You need a large diameter fan as you can find. Much More reliable.
