Default Bobcat Composite - to crow or not to crow?

Rigging up a Bobcat Composite. Finally gotrid of the boomer - I thought Iwould keep it forever but I just had to move on. (250 flights)

I had an XL BCat("Ain't Skeerd") for about 15 flights and it basically landed itself - Ijust had to sell it before it fell apart! My biggest mistake - that thing flew great.........

Anyways....inspired by Kevin Whitlow, Ijust want a Bobcat that Ican rack up the flights on. Ihave seen it done both ways - flaps only or with crow? Your thoughts?

Rabbit is the pusher.

Thanks in advance,

Smitty

I would go with the Crow set up.... I had it on my C-BCAT and it landed smooth like butta every time.

OK, crow setup. Could someone tell me the flap throws? Ihave the manual but not the jig that you use to set the flap positions.

Sorry Smitty, I used the "jig" and I can't remember what the angle was when I checked it (years ago now). If I was home, I would send you the gauge, sorry.

Dude

just throw them down using the TLAR method and make sure they deploy evenly.

Hey Smitty,
I built "Ain't Sceered" several years ago and sold it when I moved to Texas. Regretted it ever since...one of the best flying jets I've built. I heard it's gone through 4 owners since I sold it and it's still in one piece! Saw it in the classifieds a few months ago. I recently bought a NIB XL kit that I'm building now.
Use the crow with flaps on the composite version as per BVM's website, otherwise it'll float right on by when trying to land.
