Hello Pete,
It was a pleasure to meet you at the Gardner event, in particular, I was impressed with your determination in getting your first flights in with your new jet.
Today you are a member of an elite group of folks that have mastered the art of remotley controlling a fast, slick and scale model from the static engine start to the last critical seconds demanding a skill rivalled by no other hobby. Congradulation.
Look forward to seeing you at our 5th annual 'Capitol Jets''.
Take care for now Pete, well done!
Frank.

RE: My first turbine flight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just saw it 'again'....better than ever, Pete.
We all knew you had the skills, no sweat.....but I personally congratulate you as much for the tremendous patience you've shown, and your willingness to listen to folks, and to observe and watch until things were just right. Tremendous maturity exhibited from a nice guy......and it's paid big dividends.
Downside: it truly becomes a sickness.....yer only just finding out....and you won't avoid that end of it any more than us . A pleasure watching you start out, Pete...be great things ahead for you!

Congratulations and welcome to the F-16 squadron, Pete! That was a GREAT first flight, very scale-like takoff and a slick landing!
The downside: This is gonna drain your wallet and all your spare time from now on!!
I started my jet career with a SpiderJets F-16, and now I fly the SM 1:6 version - I have loved F-16's from the very beginning!
The bigger they get, the better they fly!!

Weird and looks different??
That's because you were gonna pass-out from the stress!
My tip to you: Watch the 2 vids a couple of times of the landing sequences on the final approaches... Burn into your mind the sink-rate, ground speed and Angle Of Attack you should have on final. Jeff had a healthy X-wind to deal with as seen in the 'crabbed' approach down the glide slope.... He had his hands full. [X(]
Keeping a 'touch' of heat on in the turbine on final will be a good thing.

Not to take away any of the excitement that Pete has experienced with his F-16 and his first turbine flight but who is the videographer. Very nice camera work, steady hand and the plane rarely leave lense center. Can I book her/him (I suspect it's your her) for the maiden of my F-22?

Ya Mike, you scoped me out! I was pretty sure Sue was behind the camera. And yes I changed my screen name to be consistant with my Square Nozzle background at Pratt and Whitney and of course my F-22. As for maiden at Cap Jets. It doesn't look likely. NEJR is looking more like a go if not before. Jeff is talking like he wants me to take it to Gardner for a private first flight. Sue is invited and she can bring you if see wants to .

I have watched the videos a few times already (probably 100+) I have an idea of how I want my next approach to go..
BTW, I started her today. I fiddled around for a while....Like we did on sunday for my flight. After 5 or 6 attempts I removed the on board starting bottle and connected the powermax trigger directly to the gas line..Bingo fired right up! I threw in my favorite pilot (Pimpin' Pete) since I no longer have a start bottle,Tee and about 6" of tubing.
