I think it is a YA starfire converted to turbine.

that's what I thought at first, but from looking at pics of a starfire it appears that this jet horizontal stab is mounted on towards the top of the rear tube vs. middle like on a starfire. Plus the sep. between the trailing edge of the wing and the leading edge of the horizontal stab seems further then a starfire.

I wonder if this could be one of the older JMP Starfires before YA revised them.

the earlier starfires had squared inlets. it looks more like a top gun interceptor... but something isnt right about that nose

It is not an Intenterceptor, the exhaust outlet on the Interceptor ends below the leading edge of the elevators, has a longer nose and the hatch is not that big, plus the canopy is just the windshield, not a hatch like in this model.

A friend of mine has a JMP starfire, the tail, wing, inlet, and hatch looks like his starfire. The hatch looks like he cut it bigger then what it came with, windshield looks the same though.

I have had both Intenterceptor and starfire. It is not a starfire or Intenterceptor.

I think I saw this kit in a magazine a long time ago.
I'm pretty sure it's called a "dolphin" or something like that

any other clues?

I remember "Hurricane" a mfg. of ducted fan units use to have a sport jet...but I don't think this is the one.

The guy that owns this said he was told it was a CSI. I have not heard of that brand before.

The Hurracane fan company made a jet called a Piranna I think back in the late 80's.

The main speed machine from the Hurricane boys was the Cobra. It was the only thing that could keep up with Aggressors and Vipers in the day. I honestly have no clue who made this thing. The intakes still have me puzzled.

Chris Settings? Could it be one of the Terminator or X-Terminator models?
