If you send money to somone you dont know you do risk losing that money. Try to work out a C.O.D. deal. you cover the cost of C.O.D. fees & shipping up front. If you get scamed you only lose a small amount. He wont lose shipping and C.O.D costs if you cant come up with the money when the item arrives.

Use a postal money order. The post master general and the us goverment taks a dim view of fraud and will deal with it. Do a search on the board here. One of the moderators put up some rather interesting FAQ's on the subject.

The Postmaster General will do nothing to get your money back if you get stiffed! You cant even make a claim until 60 days after you mailed the money order. In fact bad guys like postal money orders because it takes soo long to track them down. It will take a year for a postal inspector to make a claim and only if they know a person is making a pig of himself doing mail fraud. The reality is you take a chance sending money to someone you dont know. I have done alot of internet buying and most 99% of the time with no problems but I have also been stiffed and no one is going to help you get your money back even when the police know of the dead beat seller. If you want to recover money its up to you to go to and get it back.

Thanks to all who responded.I too have done alot of deals with different people and have only had one BAD deal with one person.I have found that most all the Jet Jocks are upstanding guys.Just in talking to this person sent up a few red flags. But if everything is on the up and up I don't want to cause any problems for hin eitherHe has a kit that I am very interested in .He has a knighth of the air F20 and I currenty build BoB Fiorenze's T38 Talon. In fack I have built 4 to date and I thing alot of Parts will interchange with the F20.Therefor making a very nice Turbin aircraft. Too All thanks Paul Hopkins [email protected]
