Default Paint stripping help

Has anyone used Paint Strippers on fiberglass. If so what kind (name brand) did you use . The Glass does have a gel coat under the paint

I have stripped enamels off of glass with Laquer thinner but it is very toxic even with a resporator

Thanks
Joe L.

I used this stuff on my FB F/A-18F, works like a charm!! I have a build thread that shows how I used it on here.

It took me 2 quarts to do the 18. Best thing about it is that it is water based.

I've used a chemical called "citri-strip" Bright orange loooking stuff available at lowes/home depot and walmart. I stripped a YA F-18 twin. worked like a charm, took about a quart or so for the entire plane.

How do you clean the solvent off the plane to prevent a reaction to the primer when you repaint? I'm about to strip my BobCat fuse down for it's new colors.

I used mineral spirits, and then denatured alcohol w/o any problems.

I used "klean-strip" fiberglass stripper. Worked really well.

All types of paint strippers I have used have been neutralized with water.I usually use water and a scotchbrite pad.Just make sure the stripper is fiberglass safe.
