Default CG and throws for the Rafale..

I just want to see what you guys are happy with as far as CG and throws for the fly eagle Rafale since my maiden is coming up very soon, Also, Is it wise to put expo on the canard? should the canard dual rates be linked to the elevator D/R?

The book calls for only 12mm up and 12mm down on the canard, Ive watched videos of this jet and it seems that there is more..

Any other pointers for this jet would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance! Pete

There is a video of this jet flying on totally different throws then the book recommends.

FEJ: Elev 50mm (seems like overkill!)
Ail 15mm
canard 12mm
CG 120mm

Video: Elev 30mm/DR 20mm
Ail 30mm/DR 15mm
Canard 14mm/DR12mm
CG 130mm

The plane seemed to fly very well in the video, I dont know which way I should go here, Maybe take an average?

Pete,

I'm about to get one as well... i was wondering on what your final control throws were as well as exponentials used?  I use a JR 9303 2.4 Tx.

Thanks!

Rob

Hi Rob.

I ended up with 40mm up and down in high rates and 30 in low for elevator.

25 and 20 high and low for aileron and my canard just barely moves. I think it's 6 mm up and down. CG is at 125.

Mine flies fine on these settings:

Elevator +- 35mm
Canard +- 15mm
Aileron +- 15mm
CG 125mm
