Default Velox Servos List ?

Guys...

I will order a Velox tonight, I need to know which kind of servos you put in it (for those who have one)...

actually, here is my idea :

Ailerons and flaps : Futaba digital S3050 (x4)
Rudders : Hitec digital HS-5245 (x2)
elevator : Futaba digital S3050 (x1)
Front wheel : regular futaba servos...

I will also use a Smart Fly Sport Plus (without cut-off) or a Power Expender Sport...

Is this look good your you, do I need others (servos) ?

Thanks,

Robin,

Mine's equipped with JR Servos...DS 3301s on rudders (thin...takes up all the available space) and DS8321s (9 Kg) on Elevator, Ailerons and Flaps. One of the DS 3301s packed up after about 100 flights - no idea why... motor just seized solid - otherwise all is well.

I've got 2 x 2100 Li-Po feeding the system through a Powerbox sensor switch direct to the Rx.

Seems to work OK!

Enjoy your Velox, it's a fine flying aeroplane.

Cheers,

Dick

Robin,

If there is any chance of talking you out of the Velox, I'm trying right now. PM me if you want my personal reasons.

I have 8611's on ailerons and elevator, DS330's on rudders. Did not bother with functional flaps, slows up well enough without them for me and I love the way it flies on the Kingtech (18 lb thrust) K80E turbine. Definetely one of the smoothest flying sport jets in my hanger. I used to recommend the Kangaroo as an ideal transitional (jet flight) intro model but the Velox would be another one of my recommendations also nowadays. Leave the flaps well enough alone till your 100% totally comfortable with this jets flight envelope would be my simple advice as the flaps are VERY effective and do slow the model quite dramatically. Getting behind the drag curve with a slow spooling turbine will get your attention with any jet, this one is no exception

Heres a nice demo video of the Velox performing for those interested...

Ok this is my first post guys. I have a Spektrum DX6I TX. I"m going to install a P-70 into a Velox Sport Jet . Not the XL model. I was trying to find out where the best placeto put the RX's on the aircraft would be. Being a composite airframe, someone has figured this out, I may not be in the right "area" but then again if someone could send me in the right direction on this forum it would be great !! Or if so inclined offer some tried & true advise !!

Thanks,

It's going to be tough to rig a velox on 6 ch. I have a dx6i. I use it for foamies, etc. I don't think I would use it on turbine powered aircraft. Just the thought of hanging it out on 4 aa batteries is a little un-nerving.

Yeah I know, I"m flying Multiplex aircraft with the DX6I,Funjet,Blizzard.etc. What are your thoughts on the Buddy Box with the DXI as a slave ? I really don't want to have to buy an additional TX..
