Had the opportunuty to maiden Joe King's AT-3 Thursday. After finishing the installation, we took it out for some test flights. The AT-3 flew very well, and was very predictable. Just might have to get one of those!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were unable to get inflight photos, but here are a few of the plane.
Joe may bring this beauty to Georgia Jets in a few weeks. I think I have him convinced.

Joe did a good job on the cockpit. Pilots are from Century Jet Models.

Radio is a JRDX-7, with 8611a servos.
Electrodynamics A123 batteries, and accessories.
Engine-Jet Central Rhino.
We used all numbers recommended by Fly Eagle, but found it necessary to add about 4 more ounces nose weight. Long moment on the nose, so mount more equipment forward. This gem lands like a trainer!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would have flown more, but hadto catch a flight home.

Decided to try something different on the bypass. This slot allowed for so much cool air, that Joe was able to hold his hand on the pipe at full throttle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pipe was COOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!! I will definitely do this to the F-15 and F-4. My pipe will be warm, but this was cool!!He thought I was crazy when I first put my hand on the pipe, and that Rhino was reallysnorting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to fly 1/3 to 1/2 throttle for a good scale flight.

Would like to add that we flew from a grass runway, and 250ft we were rotating! The field was a very nice facility. Their club has about 80 members.

Nice job Joe & Lewis. Glad the maiden went well for you. Just how hard was it to see in the air Lewis...I mean with that high-vis scheme and all.
