Hello gents.
Does anyone had seen or encountered the nose wheels lock up and stop rolling while hurling down the runway?
If so, what was the cause for that to happen? I had a couple of incidents like that with Air Power wheels on 3/16
axle. Thanks a bunch gents.

Copper vs. steel! The friction gets to them and they will lock up so tight that you can not even turn them by hand. This happened to me 2 weeks ago. I lubed them and now spray WD40 before every outing.

I have seen this on a bunch of the Asian imports, apparently tbey don't use bronze bushings.
If you lube them you are fine like it has been mentioned.

Even bronze bushings will lock up if they get dirty. Hard particles such as sand will gall the bronze and lead to frozen wheels as described above. They can be a real problem getting unlocked and then you have to file them smooth to eliminate the friction. Regular cleaning and lubing will prevent this.
