Well it calls for 15 to 27 pound class turbine, so in that regards you do have enough to fly it. Not sure what the performance will be like. I would imagine it would be somewhat descent for scale type flying.

Pete,

I really don't think you'll be happy with the 80. Go bigger!

I have the older SM Hawk with a P-80, had it for years, and I only flew a couple times a year. reason being it is under powered, don't get me wrong it flew and flew ok, but the stick was at full power most of the flight, vertical? well there wasn't any. I have a P-120 in my Boomer XL, so what I did was order a flight pack for the P-120 from Jetcat and installed that in the Skymaster Hawk. so all I have to do is take the P-120 out of Boomerang XL and put it in the Hawk and go fly. SM Hawk is now ready to go with the P-120 but have NOT flown it yet, but should make a big difference....

Lewis Patton had one with a Jet Central Falcon in it (22 Lbs of thrust), he said it flew ok, he then put a Jet Central Eagle in it (30 Lbs of thrust) and then it came alive
