Default wing covers

I have 3 of them and made my own. I went to the sowing store and bought some foam and quilting material and made covers from the wings, stab and fin. To do it, cut the foam to cover the surface. I just taped mine to join the foam. Then cut the quilting material and have someone(my wife in this case) just sow the seam. I have used them for 3 years and they work great. The fuselage doesn't seem to get scratched.

What turbine is in your starfire? Do you like the way it flies?

Default YEAH, WHAT HE SAID

THOMPSON / HELIBOY 7,

what turbine/bypass/fuelcell systems did you guys use in your STARFIRE'S

I too just finished a turbine STARFIRE, went with the ARF version, JET-CAT P-80, JET-TECH bypass/fuel cells, TAMS pipe, and FUTABA 9Z radio, did a ground runup at LA JETS last wknd. , had wilcox set up and tune the new V-4 ecu, have only to carry out range test's before test flight's begin

I would also like to bag my jet to protect the finish, but would like to have the profesional type that we all see at the rallys !

so I am also wondering whats out there .

regards, scott

Hey Guys
I sure would like to exchange pics with you guys, if possible email me direct so we can do that. Mine is set up with a jetcat p80, I think it was A-1 hobbies carbon bypass/stainless double wall pipe, air speed limiter/pitot tube mounted on the nose in turbine bandit scheme. Tomson if your willing to part with one of your 3 let me know. I had a complete set of covers made for my fiberclassic G202 with www.wingbags.com they came out awesome you can see me & my plane on thier site in customer photos.
thankyou guys, please email me
Jermaine

Heliboy et al,

How about putting your pictures on this thread? I have a Starfire IIc in the basement and some inspirational pictures (of the Starfire IIc, that is) would probably help me to get going building it. :-) I'm mostly interested in the paint schemes.

Well I built one, and best I could tell on it's maiden flight it was going to be just fine until I dumb thumbed it. Bandit fuel cells,
Paul Gray bypass, Rocky Mountain Tailpipes thrust tube, AMT Mercury. The pic I have is too big to post here.
