Default Does Size Matter?

I am contemplating the purchase of either a Jet Central Super Eagle or Rhino primarily due to there great warranty and what I have read about there overall goodness.

My question is concerning the choice between these two sizes of turbine. I more than likely will not buy a jet bigger than say 25-27lbs due to transport limitations, but there is always the chance later I might want to go up into the 30-35lb. range. Now, what I would like some input about is, would I be better off in the long run getting the Rhino over the Eagle even if I am not likely to step up to the bigger birds for some time? I ask this because the Rhino is only about a quarter of a pound heavier. I know it will burn more fuel, but I can turn the rpm down or just not use full throttle as much.

What else should I take into consideration? Any downsides to the larger turbine in the smaller airframes?

Thanks.

Jeff,
As old as you are you should really consider the larger planes due to eyesight limitations : )

Thats what I had to do : (

Go for the Rhino - for all the reasons you listed...... Iwould have to have a very specific app to purchase a super eagle (not because of anything about it other than size and weight essentially same as Rhino)

Hey Jeff, more flights on my Super Eagle this afternoon. When you get back to fighting strenght we can take it out and burn some more Kero. As to not using full throttle as much, well I know how you fly and turning the throttle down is not in the cards. I think you should figure out what sort of planes you want to fly, ie, sport or scale ad then figure out what engine range would best work with them. Either one woud be a great choice for a lot of air frames.

Better to have the power and not need it, than to need the power and not have it. Go with the Rhino. [8D]
