Default Servo modifications

Has anyone modified a servo to operate continuously in one direction or the other?

Servo city sells quite a few Hitec servos with a continuous rotation modification.

They are used in hobby robotics for drive wheels.I think they add $20 dollars for this. And it is not every servo but a lot of them.
