Default RC complex

I'm looking to ideas in designing a RC complex for plane, heli and rc buggies. I have made ruff plans, but would like to see what clubs have done. And any ideas that the RC world would like to see in a rc field. Please post picture and thoughts?

I have flown at the club in Santiago, Chile. I can not remember the club field but you need to use their layout as a model. They have a paved strip for aircraft, a separate heli site, a pond for float planes and sail boats. They have a big paved course for on-road, a big off road course, I think they have a CL site AND...they have a clubhouse staffed with a waitress and chef so you can have a sit down meal in between flights.

Michel can fill you in on the exact layout.

Are you sure you weren't at the international airport? I am packing my bags and moving there.

The club is called CACH and it is located on the sorroundings of Santiago. It takes me 20 minutes to arrive to the club from my house.

I'm uploading some pictures of the club, but unfortunately they are kind of old and the don't reflect completely what the club is nowadays.

At the beginning of the year we did a lot of work in the club and we enlarged the runway to make it easier for jets to fly there, we paved again the on road circuit, we made more flying stations in the helicopter area and improved the kitchen in the club house which is used not only for eating but also for meetings and classes (ex: IMAC rules)

One of the things we have done in the club, is to place 40' containers in the back and that serve as storage for our airplanes. Several members have purchased their container and created inside of them a warehouse and in some cases, they have been even equipped with a fridge (is important to always have cold beer available..... ), tile floors, etc. In my container I have a fridge, air conditioner, tiled floors, furniture were I keep all my kitchen appliances, etc.

One of the best things in the club is the fact that all the members are really nice people. Is not uncommon to see after a day of flying, different groups doing barbecues.

I'm enclosing some pictures taken outside my container were you can see one of those barbecues. By the way....... barbecue season is starting again over here We have a supermarket near the club so you don't really need to organize anything on advance. Depending who is in the club that they and in what mood they are, we'll organize something right there.

I am speechless..... that is awesome. I bet you don't have may crazy rules there. That would never fly in the clubs in my area. People complain about every thing, too many rules. I can see the incredible comeraderie among the members in those pics. I am envious. Keep having fun, enjoy the friends you have and the wonderful hobby, life is too short. Alex.

Vetagator:

We have a good set of rules in the club but I would say that most of them make sense and that's why we don't have problems. Most of the guys are really easy going and as you say, if you go there is not for fighting..... but rather for flying and having a "great" time.

Off course there are the odd characters that won't agree with a lot of the things we do in the club, but they come to fly and leave early and we respect their position. Respect to others is key here......

This club is just awesome.....

I will try to take some pictures of the container during the weekend. You will be impressed with some of them.

In my opinion mixing r/c airplanes and everything else is not good. Only exception are r/c helicopters and even so in a separated flight line.

Why? because r/c airplanes crash hard and it is best to not have anything or anyone near it.

In my design, the planes and helis have different flight line and section of the field. I see a lot of good points, I will work on me mods on my plan and see how things look.

In our club, we have completely different areas for helicopters and airplanes son they don't mix. The only ones that could interfere with the airplanes could be the gliders, but we don't have many of those to start with.....
