Fly Eagel 1/9 Rafale retracts

Fly Eagel 1/9 Rafale retracts
I have a 1/9 scale AD Rafale with the recommended Spring Air retracts (3/16 piano wire) which may not be strong enough to fly off of grass with a turbine. My question to anyone who has a 1/9 Fly Eagle Rafale is, how do you like the quality of the retracts,struts and brakes? Are they strong enough for grass fields? Would you recommend them or should I look elsewhere. Thanks in advance, Mark.

yep would agree! Mine work fine in the shed, just will not go up when in the air tho'!
Swapped my oleos for some digitech custom made ones for my size requirements. If flying off grass, get trailing links.

Well, if you have spring air retracts they are not the retracts that come with the Fly Eagle Rafale. The Fly Eagle ones are air up and air down units. What model of spring air retracts do you have? You can fit robart struts with the little adapter to the 3/16" strut retracts, but make sure your retracts are heavy duty enough.

This is the AD 1/9 Rafale with the recommended Spring Air series 300 retracts,however I think the retracts(3/16 piano wire) and the AD scale struts may not be strong enough for grass operation. I may just end up selling it instead of building it.[&:]
