OK, well it is still not warm enough to fly but the snow is melting.
Just a reminder for the MN Jet Rally in August.
I hope to be able to make this the best year yet, the 6th I think.
I plan to have a large central tent like last year and
Lunch Friday
Friday night dinner - "Stumpy's"
Dinner Saturday - Famous Dave's BBQ
Fire and refreshements Sat night
and
Flying Thu-Sunday...
Hope you can make it.

Just a little bump for the MN Jet Rally.
We have always had a great core group of friends/pilots/family that come to this fun, low key event. - Fly and have fun.
For all of those who think about making it, why not make this the year?
Flying Thursday -Sunday,
Dinner at Stumpys Friday night
Famous Dave's BBQ Dinner at the field Saturday with a fire.
I hope to have everything set for Thursday AM this year for any early birds. My A10 has lights now so I can fly a little earlier and a little later....
Hope to see you in August,
Dave

RE: Minnesota Jet Rally 2010
I've actually heard lost of talk about the event at the field and other places, I just don't think people are posting . I will for sure be there.
Are you friends with Chris Johnson from Maple Grove with the Tamjets F-16? I am his friend and live close to him. Both him and I will be shooting to get our waivers at around the same time.
With or without waiver, I will for sure be at the meet.

Yes I have met Chris recently, nice guy, looking forward to having another local jet pilot.
Glad to hear there is some chatter about the MN Jet Rally.
Just for planing, if anyone knows they are coming for sure, please feel free to chime in.

I can't believe that I have a jet now, let alone three. My smaller f-16 for the most part is already sold. At this point I don't see any reason not to come and see what kind of trouble I can get into.
This will be my first year and if all goes well. My intension is to bring a 1/5.5 F-16 and my new SM 1/5 F-86. A friend of two may also come with a 1/8 F-18 and a Mig29

Pete,
Glad to hear from you, yes I have the F22, A10, F18F x2 on deck.
Scott,
Glad you have the jet bug! My Cardens have been in the trialer for two years which is sad but I am having fun with the jets for now.
I will setup Wed so we can fly Thursday-Sunday. Will do local dinner in town Friday night, Dinner at Field Sat night.
airnav.com, 55Y is the airport.

RE: Minnesota Jet Rally 2010
Dave: watched you flying the A-10 this past weekend. Great job and fantastic model aircraft. Wish I could attend the Jet Rally, but have to work 12 hour shifts (same place you work, just different department HA!) that weekend as I did LAST year! Hope the meet goes well!

1. Thanks for coming down to see the Warthog Saturday , glad the weather cooperated!
2. Finally we have made contact with IOWA! Welcome! I have been trying to locate the few(?) turbine flyers down that way - especially as I go through cedar rapids 3 times each summer and wondered if there is a place to fly along the way. Hope you can make it to Rushford this summer, only about 3-31/2 hr trip for you I think and we will fly Th-Sun I hope.
See everyone soon,
Dave
