Default Skymaster Viperjet Lights

Can anybody, with experience, please advise me on the quality, and ease of fitting of the Details 4 Scale Viperjet lighting system? Does this $365 package come complete with everything needed, ie. lenses for the wings, not the lights but lense covers? Are there any other parts required to complete the full lighting set up?

Recomendations on cockpit pilots for this would also be useful please.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob I made my own system and it cost me about £60 including a esc and lipo to run them. Speak to Ali as he uses the same method. Sandor at digitec also has a system for the viper but I think it's just the lights and mounting system, but it's cheap. Ali will be able to get this for you also

Hi Rob, i just installed the Deatil4scale light set on a SM viper, in my opinion the set is very nice and complete, lense covers for
every led, you don´t need anything elese, just one 7.4 v lipo and you are done, everything is on the package ready to be installed, the kit also include all the wire extensions, i can upload some pictures if you want to, take care...

Rob,

I used the kit from flugmodellbau.de who, I believe, has become www.airfighter.eu - they work great. You can see them here...

Nice and neat work!! What paint did you use for landing lights molds? and what glue was used for transparent wing lenses?

Thanks.

I was trying to figure out which wing lights are supposed to blink and which if any are to be solid on. I watched a full scale Viper fly and noticed the wing tip lights blinking. The video was not clear enough for me to tell if the red and green lights were on solid and the clear ones were blinking or if they were all blinking on the wing tip. Anyone know for sure what the full scale lights do, on the wing tips?

The Viper Jet has a fixed position light on each 3-light fixture for each wing (red/green) that are solid on, a landing approach light and a anti-collision strobe. Of course, if you're not flying in a scale meet, it probably doesn't really matter what you do with the lights. We've had guys with 4 approach lights (2-per tip) on some Viper Jets plus an added 2 landing lights on the nose gear. With some guys, the more lights, the better. Most of it is just personal preference.

Rob,

Your order was shipped last week, it should be there this week. I'll e-mail you the tracking number. Let me know if you get it. Our e-mail has been really spotty lately. Some get thru and others don't. Our shopping cart Pay Pal payment section shut down too and doesn't work at all. I'll be on the phone for repairs a bunch tomorrow trying to get all the problems sorted out. Thanks.
