Wichet,

You will need to designate an unused channel for brakes and then mix in elevator. I like to assign the brake channel to the Right Slider so I can use it as a parking brake as well as mix to it with down elevator. If you don't want to use the assigned brake channel switch to activate the brakes, just inhibit the channel. It will still work as a mixed channel.

In either case, select an unused P-mix and mix Elev to the brake channel. Program in some Down mix. I used -125% in POS.0 with 0% in all the other positions. Follow the EVSD instructions for propraming the brakes. Use the porportional option and set the elevator stick position so the brakes start to come on with a small amount down elevator and full on at full stick throw. You hold the stick in each position and "program" the position when you "step" to the next setting. Make sure the brakes are not activating (you will hear a clicking sound) with the stick at neutral. It takes a little experimentation and trial and error.

Another suggestion is to only have the brakes activate when the gear is down (so as not to waste air while airborne). Activate the GEAR block (lower right on the P-mix screen) so it displays a "1". Do not enter any values under the POS.1 position (i.e. leave them at 0%). If you set it up this way the brakes will only activate when the gear switch is down.

One final tip, everytime you step through the EV programming process, the brake/stick setting you recorded will reset to the current position of the elevator stick. Therefore, if you don't reposition the stick each time, it totally screws up the mix. Get it set properly and then don't mess with that programming menu.

Hope this helps,

Craig
