Default Skymaster F-4 Thunderbird

Does anyone know of the history of a Skymaster F-4 Thunderbird formerly owned by Ron Long? Also, has anyone had any experience, positive or negative, dealing with Jeff Tolomeo, user name JRTRC?

I have history of the jet it was mine I traded to Jason Somes for a large F-86 kit. It was traded less turbine. It had every option that could be added. Wayne Lane (P38J ) Built it and did some minor repair on the jet. Jason Somes took posesion of the jet last Feb. at desert jet storm. Have not seen it since. That jet Took CD'S choice award at the Mesa jet event last year.

Here is a link of David Shulman and myself flying the jet last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR6I3vIcvYQ

Also I do not think a thread with RON LONG on it should not be on this forum. The jet was mine in the beginning, but I sold it to Jason Somes. I did not sell it to this person Cliff So it was not a Ron Long Jet but a Jason Somes jet. So Please correct your thread or I will ask the Moderator to drop it all together.

I built the F-4 for Ron, all three landing gear mount plates were damaged and I replaced them with stronger material and fixed all of the damage caused by the mounts breaking loose. The video that Ron posted a link to shows the plane flying after my repairs.

Couldn't agree more- You need to edit Rons name from the title or clean up the statement. The thread does not look like it is going anywhere positive ( or you would have said so) . I saw the plane fly post repair-It flew great. Scotty

The reason I made this post was to obtain information. The two of you have provided what I needed and for that I am grateful.

In an effort to either edit or remove the entire thread, I have searched the RC Universe site and there simply is no means to contact 24-7 RC and there is nothing in the help menus either. If I am missing something please let me know.

You can edit your title simply by clicking the edit tab in your first post, then change it to whatever you want.

You could just go in and edit out Rons name on the subject line and leave the rest.

Done. There was never any intent to question anything about Mr. Long. It was simply a quick way to identify a particular aircraft. His name is now removed form the title.

The post is not to make any inference about anyone. Just to obtain information.

As far as a "posative" or "negative" on Jeff, I and MANY others have dealt with him for years. He has NEVER been less than upstanding and helpful with everything he does. He has always gone out of his way to help any one with a problem (including me!) whether he knows them or not. If there has ever been a problem with a sale (and I am talking about many multi thousand dollar deals), he has always gone out of his way to make it right within his powers. This was not his jet at time of sale. All he did was help a friend out to sell it. Jeff is an assett to our hobby and a genuine guy.
I hope this answers your question about him....

Dido what Lowell said, Jeff's a great guy to deal with, he's answered my many "nubie" jet questions, just bought a jet from him last week!!

I'll echo what Lowell and Steve said about Jeff. He has gone out of his way to help me to me get parts from Skymaster.

This is one problem selling equipment that does not belong to the seller. I don't do it anymore. It is impossible for a broker(jeff) to know everything about the item he is selling. If the jets condition is misrepresented, it may not be intentional.

On the other hand, these jets from China are better replaced with new landing gear rails anyway; I think this F-4 is probably a better plane now.

Jeff helped me repaired my landing gear rails on my first jet (Cermark F-16, at least a few occasions : ), and he's always there when someone needs help. Jeff is a person with integrity.
