Default "Poly Ply"?????

Does any one know where I can get "Poly Ply" or a similar product in a larger size sheet than what BVM sells??? Maybe in a 12"X12" or 12"X24" inch sheet....

Thanks! Kevin

Try calling BVM and see if he will sell you an uncut sheet.

Kevin,

I got several sheets in different thickness a couple of years ago from either composite structures technologies, or fiberglast. I can't remember which one.

David,

Yeah, years ago I bought some from CST....I used it instead of balsa to sheet all of the flying surfaces on my BVM Viper. The goal was to make it faster. (Thinner wings and stabs) At the Mississippi Afterburner it went 205 MPH on a 95 degree day---BV then took out his brand spankin' new Ultra Viper and clicked off a 206 MPH pass. I sold the Viper that weekend and bought an Ultra Viper....

Anyway, I'm asking for a friend. I'll tell him about CST. He was hoping to find it through a hobby dealer to avoid having to buy a very large sheet. (Minimum order)

THANKS!!!!! Kevin

Kevin,

find a plastic house in your town and talk to them. there are varying thickness product available. I used the "G-10" nomenclature and some guys got it and others did not. I have bought 36x48 sheets. one of thoses lasts a while. I think Regal plastics is a nationwide chain you could try.

Default G-10

Wonderful stuff... use it on all my giant warbirds. This is your source for G-10. It was provided to me through RCU over a year ago and I've ordered a half dozen sheets of various size and gauges. Excellent pricing and reasonable shipping.

Try Dave McVeigh at Red Arrow Hobbies (www.redarrowhobbies.com) . Most suppliers don't stock the material in the correct thickness. Dave can get you 12" X 24" sheets in thicknesses down to .006" and very reasonably priced.
