Default Really cool model

Can't help but notice how turbine helicopters are still so much more realistic than turbine powered ariplanes.

If you like jets you'll probably like this:

I cant say that I agree. When I watch a helo the jet exh noise seems so completely out of proprtion to the rotor sound. The jets sound like jets. Sortof.

Model turbine Jets are more realistic sounding & looking than turbine heli or turbo props .

I totally agree with highhorse on his comments. The bird is a neat looking machine.

Or flying field, watch out, because Airwolf is one bird that can hang with the jet guys anytime!

I see Hornets, Vipers all day long. Not a single model even comes close to the thundering sound of an afterburner, or the sound of a Hornet slicing the air at 300 kts pulling 7Gs overflying the runway. On the other hand turbine helos have the buzzing sound of the engine plus the flapping sound of the blades.

Maybe an F-86 can come close to the sound of the real thing, but modern jets F no!

I reallh wonder how come no one ever did a model of the Blue Thunder. Airwolf was cool, but the pilot was a crybaby.

Yea man, the helmet will always be cool.

Might be nice to have one at the flying field, that targeting square/bar might actually be useful for tracking the models when they're down low in the trees.
