Default PST Jets "Re-Vision" Sport Jet

New Sport Jet from PST Jets - The "Re-Vision" ARF

From the proven Reaction ARF design and performance, now another full composite jet with similar installation/setup but in a different sleek looks...

Full Composite
Helex Foam vacuum sandwich technology
Plug-in wings
Removable Nose section
Removable Stabilizer/Vertical fin
Wing Span: 80 inches (2.03 meter)
Length: 91 inches (2.31 meter)
All up weight - 12kg dry

Test flown with PST J1300R (13kg/28lbs thrust)...great flight performance. This jet doesn't want to stall !!! with zero, takeoff, and landing flaps stall test..the ReVision will just continue forward until almost zero speed !! At flying speed she will do all the demanding maneuvers as you can expect from a good sport jet. Takeoff and landing are no surprises..ease off and grease-in... Full throttle...exciting !!

Update: Now flying with the "Sport Blue Angel" color scheme

Available soon ...

i think the paint scheme is throwing the lines of the plane off just a bit.

Hmmm, she looks pretty good to me I wouldn't really call this an "Ugly" and "Unwanted" creation [X(]

Is this one also "blessed by" Bruce Tharpe? As it's obviously another REVISION of his REACTION-54 design (perhaps you could have named it the DERIVATIVE,) , I sure hope so.

Hello:

I am sorry, but it is really UGLY. I hope at least be cheap, right?

If you want to see a pretty jet, look for a Bandit. The rest is debatable.

Regards Friends.

I can see this being a good trainer jet. I'm not thrilled by the looks, but it seems functional.

However, you really need to change the name. "Revision" sounds like there was something wrong with the product line. This is marketing 101 guys. Never give your customers a reason to think there is something wrong with your product.

It would look nice if you stretched the cockpit more, let it take up more room, there is just too much nose on the plane and I think that makes it look bad. I am sure it flys good but I would buy a reaction 54 over this plane.

I liked it.. seems to be a fun and easy flying jet without being covered with plastic film.

The looks is also not bad IMO. Congrats and good luck with your design.

I'd have to agree that the scheme isn't helping things. Reminds me of the paint jobs car manufaturers use to try to hide the style lines of future production cars from the competition. I'd also agree that canopy should be longer, too many things look out of proportion to one another. There have been some bashed balsa Reactions that have a sleeker look than this.

How about THE REVOLUTION from PST JETS .

Sounds good and this could be another great trainer from PST, but if I were the designer of the airframe I will probably change the stab and vertical section more likely to a Bandit and also a bigger canopy section to accommodate the electronics. As a happy Reaction owner I will probably get one of this, only if they make some adjustment to the design, but sometimes is better the performance than the appearance.

Good luck, and keep posting any progress of the airplane, more pictures, video, combo price.

Thanks

Its Design/Marketing 101...there will always be plus and minus comments & criticisms...even the biggest airplane or car manufacturers are still bringing out products that get lots of criticisms and negative comments. I like a tough crowd and I know that all the comments were meant positively for PST. Thanks.

We can easily design another Bandit or F-5 or F-20, etc....its a challenge to design a new sport jet that will stand-out amongst other jets...this one will easily be spotted at jet events !

BTW, the prototype's color scheme is specially designed to hide the real beauty while we're doing flight test !!

The ReVision will be reasonably priced similar to the Reaction ARF.

After flying more and more of this jet, I am falling in love with the looks and performance...now we can design/create some attractive color schemes to bring the real beauty out [8D]

Cheers,
B777

Well.... she wont win any beauty contests but neither do the boomers and they sell like hotcakes. As long as the flight performance stands out, I think you will do just fine. Improve the looks a bit and I think you will sell more volume however!
I agree with the comments regarding the name.....[:@]
Perhaps just EVOLUTION would be a bit better suited....[sm=confused.gif]

Revolution, Evolution, Reflex, anything but ReVision!!!!

Maybe it's because I am a software developer, but revision sounds like a new version to address the previous versions faults.

Okay, I'll take the bullet on the name. You caught me - I never had marketing 101

PST and some of their dealers bounced around some names, one of the being Revision. I kinda liked the word because it was in the "re" family (with Reaction) and the model is, in fact, a new version of the Reaction ARF. The capital "V" was added to stress the Vision part, and the marketing tag line I proposed was something like this:

ReVision - PST takes a fresh look at a proven winner...

Anyway, about my "blessing", yes, PST is free to do as they wish. They have been nothing but friendly, honorable, and honest in all of our dealings. They seem to have a wealth of talent and a true passion for jets. As for the plane, it may have distant roots in the Reaction 54, but it has obviously morphed into something far different. Wouldn't feel right taking any credit (or blame) for it. It's a PST creation!

PST : How about "Action" then? Mucho-bettero than the current name, keeps name in the same family, and shows it's proud roots !

The name can be changed...not a problem.

Put in 3 more flights today. With strong wind condition, the "____" is quite stable and can handle the strong x-wind with ease.

How about "The airframe formerly known as ReVision"?
