Hey Roy!
Dont worry, theres plenty of room for everyone! Anyone bringing their own tent will be able to set up along the same line begining at the last reted tent. All tents will border the concrete pit area, and you'll be able to drive up behind your spot. As soon as the tent tental company puts up the last rental tent, we can allow pop ups to 'Pop Up" ! Tent service will begine recting theirs after lunch on Thursday. This is the earliest teh airport is allowing us to start set ups.

Man-you have this set up nice. I'm gonna be proud to say I went to the first one you all had!!! Got my room today and has of yesterday, Am Habu equipped. Better hurry folks the rooms are going fast!!! thanks Larry.

Are any of the RC jet vendors planning on being there ? (Like E-Jets Ohio/International)

Right now, the only confirmed vendors are BVM, Jet Central, Vogelsang Aeroscale, and Andy Kane (who represents CompARF and others).

Larry and Robert ALWAYS put on a FANTASTIC event, just look at the turn outs they've had for "Toys for Tots" that occur in the fall. I can't wait for this one and I'm glad I'm going to be a part of the first one. I'll have three or four jets there.

I was wondering if there were any jet events in NC. How is the surrounding area of the flying site; trees, highways, buildings, and any restricted boundaries to adhere to?

This looks like a great event. I wish I could bring my new matrix sport jet. I will have to make it my goal to be there next year. I have other plans for this weekend with family. How far is this from Raligh nc? I have a sister there That I would like to see while I am there. Bill

Wilson is only 40 minutes or so From Raleigh. Easy trip over on Hwy 264

It's clear and wide open spaces except for some trees way out in front that won't bother you. Look at the aerial views from some of the early posts inthis thread.

Is there any pre-registering? Sounds like there could be a long line to wait in on fri morn If you get there before 6 on thrus can we sign in then and put up pop up tents?Thanks Randy

I've read here that putting up our own canopies is allowed on Thursday after lunch and AFTER the tent rental tent company is done setting up. (Must be out by sun set Sunday.)

Right now, there is no provision for pre-registration. But keep checking here since that "may" change.

Yes, the rental tents will be given prime real estate first and then we will allow personal tents to be raised. And everything has to go by about 7 pm on Sunday since the runways will reopen at sunset.

Oh heck yeah! We'll have the facilities! Ordered up 3 of them yesterday. Oh wait,,,, youre not talking about the blue boxes are you? lol

Seriously though, we tried to keep the entry fee's as low as we could. We're not out to make a profit, but sure hope to break even ater our expenses.

Absolutely. We have arranged for the local EAA Chapter that's based on the airport to handle the concessions on site.

Alrighteeeeeeeee!!!
The First in Flight Jet Meet is just days away now. We're finishing up last minute details and getting ready to burn some jet fuel boys!
Just a reminder, if you have plans to rent a tent you need to be getting that order in real soon! The line is growing longer as we speak!!!!
This event is looking to be bigger than we had hoped for, but we're thrilled by that! We really look forward to seeing all of you attend and we're sure you'll have a great time. Our plans are to fly, fly, fly!!! Keep'em fueled, and keep'em in the air.

The cutoff date for tent orders is May 19 (tomorrow) as stated in the post [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=9678076]here[/link]. We will take orders up to 8:00 pm eastern but not after that. Our tent vendor needs a week of lead time and thus has set this limit. So please get your order in today or tomorrow if you wish to reserve one of the prime tent spaces.
