Default Has the quality of Fly Eagle jets improved?

Fly Eagle have been getting a lot of stick regarding their build quality (or lack of it) recently. I had one of their Rafale's & the retracts lasted about twenty flights. The metal was as soft as butter. I have heard, they are learning fast.
I would welcome reports on the quality of the models they now produce & are they standing up to regular usage.

I'm sure you've read the reports on here recently as have I, that seem to indicate that the initial quality looks to be improving - they appear to now know what carbon fiber is and the gear seem to work better out of the box - according to reports on here.

What still concerns me is the second consideration - how do they stand up to regular usage? Personally, I want to wait until I see more of them being actively flown at flyins before I consider trying them again. I'm still worried that they might be prettier on the outside then they are durable on the inside...

Hi all having had around 8/9 models from FEJ i can say that i do not have a problem with there models,i had a f15 with 60 flights on it a small F16 with 30 flights,AT3 whitch now has 50 flights i am now flying there F18 1/9 scale, which flys very well,i have never had a problem with the after sales service, which i have found to be one of the best out there, yes there have been problems with some retracks not working as they should but these problems have been sorted by new replacement parts.Considering the cost of there models against others on the market they are good value,i know that some times things need to be sorted out but at the end of the day you get what you pay for just my personal opinion regards Keith

My opinion is that FEJ has improved from what I've seen two years ago. Had it not, I would not have bought a plane from them. However, it seems as though they have traded one problem for another. 2 years ago the main issue was quality of construction and their landing gear. For large models the gear never worked. Reps say they would work online, but I was at the same jet events where the gear were down the entire time. Now the issue is their methods for using honeycomb, which in their large jets might become more catastrophic than in smaller planes. FEJ has stated that the current jets are fine, but how about having some good pilots fly them like they would a BVM, Skymaster, or CARF plane for a season and let's see how they hold up.

Oh and they offer a light kit now...
