Hello all.

I have a question for those who have experience with this radio.

I have a JRPCM10 that has served me well for around 7 years now. I have noticed on the last few outings some form of what looked like initially being interference. I experienced a very noticable ocillation in pitch-nothing else. That is, all other channels appeared to be functioning correctly with the exception of the elevators, When performing a knife-edge manouvre, and pulling full rudder the aircraft ocillated in pitch. This happened only a few times, the aircarft being range chaecked and all appeared O.K. Whilst performng low inverted passes, less than 1 metre, the aircraft pitched down independantly and struck the runway causing some damage.

I noticed that the elevator stick appeared to be very slightly less smooth than the other controls. I tried to replicate the flying conditions again but could not get the oscillation on the ground. I have limited radio knowledge, but would like to hear from the experts out there if they think I have a radio pot problem or something else?

After I move the elevator stick repeatly on the ground, the slight lack of smoothness appears to have gone.

Regards, Frank

Sounds like the pot has come loose on the gimble, I had this on an old Futaba Zap, the pot is glued into place on the Futaba, I am not sure on JR equipment, I had to connect everything up and set the pot to center with a servo tester in the elevator channel of the Rx and then glue it back onto the gimble, may be worth a look.
