I did mine like the Maverick picture in BVM's old catalog, except I used yellow where he had gray for better visibility. Go to BVM's website and look through the event photos from 1998 - 2003 or so and you'll find some good paint schemes.

Yes, i was lucky as it also had every option that was alvailable for the maverick included,

Here is another scheme, there is a better picture of it in the RCJI with the SR-71 on the cover

That Maverick belongs to Mike. He is known on here and RCG as Speed is Life. If you contacted him, I'm sure he'd be happy to give you more info on the scheme.

I have one of these too in need of some attention and TLC. Was thinking of using a CF-5 scheme as a template for a semiscale looking version as it shares a resemblance.

Please continue to post your progress. What are you going to use for power? EVF?

Ten years old and still fly's... On electric BVM power. It took a couple of years for all the glowfuel oil to seep out of it!

Dean Wichmann had a very cool maverick, all painted up like castle walls with a maiden and a knight, I think there was a dragon, can't remember now, wish I had a picture of it here!

As Kirk noted (Hi Kirk!): That was my Maverick that was in the RCJI "Whistling Watts" article.

Here are a couple of my Maverick Pro built almost 10 years ago. Been flying it with a BVM 96 & 91 over the years. Dont have a p60 to put in it and cant afford to convert to electric. I dust it off every once in a while and throw some old DF fuel and fly. It has the Rhome Air Jet gear and is the best flying jet I have ever owned.
