Just wondering if anyone knows where you can get the plans to this jet?? I know they are out there but just can't shake them out. Thanks Roy

Eric is right, there never were any plans - just a build manual with a few pictures and some drawings. I think I have one around the shop somewhere, but it probably won't help you much depending on what you need...

You mean PCM Models, Pat McCurry, the designer's, old company? No, when PCM Models sold it, there were no plans. Its a CAD designed kit with foam wings, so there were no plans needed to "build over" and it just came with a manual. I've had two kits built for me, one I bought directly from PCM Models, and trust me, there were no plans...

Troybuiltmodels.com sells them. Arf versions I mean - they bought the rights from PCM.

They are a lot of building. After building ours I would never do it again.... The ARF takes all the work out of it..China Cote comes off easy with a little heat...Its not that bad...

A couple of guys I have met over the past three years at the Liberty Bell Rally built them from the PCM kits and they said never again; of course that was prior to the TBM Arfs. Like a lot of planes the finshed product flies good but the build process was terible for them. I built an AV8R and did not fly it (my Ram 500 was a load of crap and still is not working) sold it to a dentist in Ohio and he liked it. The idea of another sport jet that is all wood or wood and foam has interested me and a few others who still like to build. TBM please sell DV8R kits as well; they have to exist since you have to produce a kit build inthe factory before you can have an ARF.

It's not that hard to scratch build one from the manual. Something I prepared earlier, minus the hunch back look. - John.
