Also, in dealing with the AMA on several ''member violations and issues'' over the years, EVERY TIME...it was sent back to us as ''...you guys do what you think is best...they are a member of your club and it is your role and responsibility to enforce whatever you feel necessary.'' The AMA has the rules and lends their support in whatever way they can BUT...ultimately, the club has it on their shoulders.

I agree that's the case right now. I wonder if that is going to change as the AMA tries to convince the FAA that the AMA can police the rules for model airplanes in the face of the new regulation activity - brought on the SUAS initiative that Dave Mathewson talks about all the time in his Model Aviation column? Seems like its going to be hard for them to say to the FAA "we'll police ourselves" and then turn around to the membership (clubs) and say "go police yourselves as you see fit..."

Bob,
Yep! But I also believe the AMA expects full adherence and anticipates only absolute management of all rules, policies and continual discipline.

Whats so experimental about any of these jets anyway? If its a production jet there is nothing experimental about it. They should change the name from experimental to extra large or something.
