I'm trying to set this up on an L39. Set to mode 2. air at 100psi, I flip the retract switch- nothing happens. I flip to gear down, the doors open, then air bleeds out the bleeder hole til it gets below 50 psi, gfs kicks in and the doors close again. The gear have yet to pulled up with this valve. I'm hoping it a programming issue on my part.
any ideas??

This one will not pull the gear up even in manual mode. the led on valve 1 lights up but the air comes out the exhaust port. The doors cycle as they should.
Right now, I'm just using an ar7000 for testing but will be using a powerbox in the end.

ah, i'm pretty sure that the only time air comes out of the exhaust port are if there is a leak in the system. I had a small leak which turned out to be the nose ram O ring not sealing properly, but your's sounds alot worse than that.

If air is escaping from the cylinder in that fashion, should the landing gear have not worked even with an air pump connected to the airline without using a valve?

Quick check for that. Clamp off the return line at the valve. If air quits coming out of the vent, you have a cylinder leak. Check out Todd's thread, it is quite complete.

Well, it's funny, I used my compressor to work the system before plugging into the valve. Held air just fine. I plug up the valve and I develope a leak in a cylinder? I'll recheck the system.

Remember, the leak can be Retract OR Door cylinder. Any one of the cylinders in the chain leaking will bleed out the vent depleting air.

WELL.... a little crow in the diet is good for you once in a while. I rechecked the whole system and lo and behold, I have a leak[&o]
In my defense, it's actually intermitent. It leaked, then it didn't, then it did. I pulled out the the bad gear and rebuilt it-twice. It's on the check guage now. If it holds over 100 psi for 30 min, it's going in.
I like my crow with a light gravy.
