Default Hawk jets

Looking to upgrade to a bigger jet and the Hawk was my next favorite jet. Heard horror stories about stalling and snapping unexpectedly.

Any experiences with the quality and product reliablity of the various jet manufacturers would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The bigger the better which is the case for most models but the Hawk benefits from the size increase more than most.

The Skymaster Large Hawk is excellent, very scale and a great model to fly. You would need a 30lb turbine minimum really.
The new Tomahawk kit is awesome but its a builders project almost 100% scale and huge P200 or similar would be good but would work on a 180 etc...
Skygate Hawk very similar to the above loads of work but a great model still on the big side though.

There are build threads on all three here on RCU

On the smaller side you have the CARF hawk not as scale as the above but fly well by all accounts and will be cheaper.

There are loads of others but if it was me these are the four I'd look at.

HTH

Are BVM skymaster reps?

sorry only know European distributors. You could email them directly, I had to get some spares the other week the stuff didn't take long to arrive.

Cheers, Alex

Try Skymaster USA ,or BVM. You might also consider the Fei Bao and Flyeagle Hawk as all are similar in size, approximately 87" long(1/5.5 scale). If you are interested in a larger Hawk in the 1/4.5 scale size (Skymaster 95"/Skymaster Hawk 100 version 98", Flyeagle 98"/ Hawk 100 version 103"), see the plane offered by Skymaster and Flyeagle. By the way, the 1/4.5 scale Hawk will require a powerplant with 36+lbs of thrust. [8D]

I would list them from better to worse.

1. Skygate , Airworld , CARF , Tomahawk Design all perfect flying characteristics.
2. Skymaster large Hawk.
3.Jet legend T45
3. FEJ small Hawk
4.Skymaster small Hawk
5.Feibao

Large FEJ Hawk not enough data to compare yet.
