The CG is recommended to be 1 inch in front of the wing main spar. Looking at the root edge of the wing, the main spar appears to be located just behind the wing mounting tube. Is this correct?

I take the CG in mine just in the main spar, and yes you are correct is behind the wing tube.

My maiden was so perfect that I was drooling.

I am building an Xtremejets 2m Viperjet and I am getting a bit confused about the location of the CG.

The manual states 25mm in front of the spar, which seems to be located behind the wing tube, while in many forum topics the wing tube is taken as a reference.

Can somebody who knows please confirm that my assumption is correct ? I added a pic for clarification

Should be in front of the tube, I flew mine at 15mm and liked it a lot till a dead stick killed it.

Mine seems perfect just on the leading edge of the wing tube.. !
