Guys.
You will really like flying at this site. I grew up in the AV and this was my primary field since I was about 5 year’s old flying with my Dad.
They have made many improvements in the past 5 years or so. Runway is awesome, Nice run offs and the sky is the limit.
Great job to Joe C, Lowell Wexler and Dave Magoo. This will be a great event and the BOD for AV Tailwinds are great people to work with.

Web site is up,www.bestinthewestjetrally.com Pilot Fee will be $50.00 for early reg., and $60.00 if you reg on site. You may send check or money order to: Joe Castelao. mail to P.O. Box 6672 San Pedro, CA 90734. If anyone would like to make a donation to the Make A wish Foundation, you may do so with a seperate check made out to Make A Wish Foundation, all donations will be able to have a tax write off. We encourage everyone to donate what ever they can afford, all kids deserve our help and I am happy to be apart of that. All other info like tent, table and chair rentals will be posted soon, if you like any of them, please let us know soon to reserve a space, all I need at this time is you letting me know if you want one or not. We will also have shirts that will be apart of your reg fee so send me your size, and 2 pilot lunch tickets, one for Friday and one for Saturday. There will be a pilot dinner and awards/Auction Banquet on Saturday night, please let us know if you and spouce etc will be attending, we will have more info on that as well as time nears. As the President of the Antelope Valley Tailwinds I and the rest of the club want to welcome all to the event. We will be doing our best to make sure the facilities are ready. Our runway is 600 feet by 50 feet, I hope that is enough. The west end has a smooth runoff, the east end a little rough, but not bad. There are a few Joshua trees sticking up in front of you, so you may have to thread some of the low passes. We are outside any airport area, with Fox Field being about 6 miles away. There is rare occasional full scale traffic, we just need to keep a watch out. Otherwise, no restrictions. Light 'em up! Now all we need is some good weather!
