I was watching a you tube video RW Jets posted of the exhibits from Jetpower. They showed the JetCat stand in pretty good detail and I did not see it. That doesn't mean it was not there, but I didn't see it in the video. The P20 was there.

I also heard that EVO-Jet had a stand and didn't have a single turbine in it. [:@]

Yes, New IQ-Hammer company but same reliable, Kero-start, fast accelerating and powerful turbines as ever - and maybe even better now!

(ooops, did I just say that in a JetCat thread....)

Hello,

The P-100 was not shown at Jet power 2010. However I spoke with the Jetcat folks and indeed it is due to be released in the new future. It is suppose to be the size of a P-70 can but shorter putting out thrust in the range of 100 N to 130 N. The thrust is to be determined on further testing.

29lbs thrust from that size motor would be amazing imo... I guess the only problem would be...when are they going to be available??

Let's hope it's not too noisy.
Some of the newer small high thrust engines make a shivering noise. probably because of the high exhaust velocity.
Booster 90, Merlin 90 and Merlin 140 are very noisy. Specially in a big high drag airframe when it runs at high power setting.

A buddy has Boomerang XL with a M140 and it is the most noisy non bi-pipe plane I know off. He used to fly it with a P80 and the noise level then was pretty low.

There is a good chance, everyone must realise that new turbines take time to fully develope and manufacturers try and ensure any bugs are sorted before release. When something as special as this is being developed no one knows exactly what problems might be found, you cannot test bearing life without hours...
When this process is complete then the parts costing can be completed and then a price fixed...don't expect anything firm for a little while, when there is something to talk about it will leak out!

Any user reports on spool up times on the wren 100?

Bottom line, is it significantly faster than a supersport?

cheaper? Last I checked the Wren SS was still a $2800 engine! With the augmented pipe, $3000+. I know they are good engines, but cheap they are not.

You can pick up some great JetCat deals in the UK if you watch out for discounts (e.g. @ JMA AGM) or buy as a combo package with an airframe !

Wren claim to have sold a fair few of these engines but have yet to see any user reviews of official test figures. Test of time I guess, anyone got one?

JetCat in the main mass-produce these engines and certainly in the UK, failures are few and far between.

Look forward to seeing it on release...

Wren also claim to be developing a Kero start, now when did I first hear that, Oh yes it was just after JetCat brought out the version 1 external Kero start anyone got a date for that? it was so long ago my memory can't recall it.
