Here is something that will save your toy:

There is nothing out there that even comes close to quality and performance of a PowerBox system.

I use the Smartfly EQ10 on all of my large jets. I have never had any type of glitch or failure using them. Its not cheap because the EQ10 is around $250 but its well worth the money:

For any size plane
5-cell NiCd/NiMH or 2-cell A123 battery packs or use with SuperReg or TurboReg when using lithium 2-cell packs
“Smart-sense” inputs will isolate a bad battery or indicate a bad connection
Filtered and regulated 5.0V power to receiver
Receivers can be end-loading or top-loading
Ten servo channels with full servo matching
LED indicators for servo and receiver power
Full RF filtering of all signals in and out of unit
Fully buffered signal line for each servo
Long servo lead line matching
High-current Deans Ultra Plug power input connectors
Optional Failsafe-switch operation
Light weight, 2.6 oz, 74g
Compact design, 4” x 3”

Same here, I have used the EQ 10 with Turbo Reg on all my jets and large prop planes without a single issue. I have four match boxes that will remain in the box.[8D]

+1, and you don't' need a separate regulator with a powerbox to use Lithium batts.

If you fly JR just use the Power 12 receiver with 2 A123 batteries. simple and works great. thats what I have seen on other A10s. I have run the setup myself.

If you run Lipos though, you will have to find a good regulators or an EQ/PB. I personally prefer the Fromeco Sahara's on a wolverine switch

True Goose but you don't get the RF filtering, Filtered and regulated power to the RX, Buffered signal lines to the servos, long servo lead line matching, or the smart sense inputs without the EQ. All good stuff for large servos and long servo lead lines.
