The Moon Landings Were Faked.
I cannot believe the amount of traction that this myth has amongst the kids that I work with these days. Seems people will believe in all kinds of stuff; Alien Abduction, Astrology, creams that dissolve fat (ask my wife), but refuse to believe the Apollo program was real. Even though you can travel to Florida and see the actual machines that completed this amazing journey. Roger |
RE: Pick your favorite Myth:
The next time someone tells u that was faked, ask them if the Russians (who HATED our guts and were competing to get there first) were complicit in the conspiracy.[X(]
Remind them that even 1960's radar was capable of tracking the entire flight. ;) If it'd been faked you can be sure the evidence would have been on Pravda's front page !!!! |
RE: Pick your favorite Myth:
Are you suggesting that alien abductions are not real, seriously?

RE: Pick your favorite Myth:

RE: Pick your favorite Myth:
Geez George. Ur not buying that junk, are you? All of that has been explained again and again on tv shows and the internet, please just go look it up.
Even the frigging SOVIETS acknowledged the accomplishment (possesing the the ability to track the spacecraft) and they REALLY would have loved for it to have been faked. |

RE: Pick your favorite Myth:
Are there no optical telescopes on earth, or orbiting probes that can take photos of the junk that was left behind on the moon ?
Anyway, the Brits got to the moon first, I've seen pictures of a London Double-Decker Bus on the moon, I'll try and find a link. |

and why there was no crater from the blast during landing? |
RE: Pick your favorite Myth:
Yes. Some are in this Wiki. Very small so the resolution is not good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-p..._Moon_landings </p> |
RE: Pick your favorite Myth:
ORIGINAL: Sport_Pilot and why there was no crater from the blast during landing? actually it has nothing to do with the strenght of the blast. it has everything to do with gas expansion. Within the boundary of the exhaust nozzle there is gas pressure that causes the reaction i.e. take off. Once the gas expands beyond the exhaust nozzle it expands rapidly in all directions since there is no atmosphere to transfer momentum to. Some of the gas particles do impact the surface of the moon andthere is some momentum transfer to the dust below, hence you see the thin whisp of dust. Pretty hard to recreate in a studio without a vacuum and Industrial light and magic did'nt exist back then... |

Another take on the FAA myth is "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help..." [X(]
If you hear this phrase, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction! |

I thought Oswald acted alone was the (suposed) fact. Oswald did not act alone is the myth.
